JERSEY SHORE to Breakers 2010

For the FIFTH year in a row we are thrilled to announce the return of the biggest and best float at Bay to Breakers! This year the float is making the long trek across the country all the way from the East Coast. We’re extremely excited to announce JERSEY SHORE to Breakers!

For those of you who were there last year I don't need to reiterate the absolute insanity that took place. For those of you who missed it the last few years, you may have caught pictures of our float on the front page of the SF Chronicle, KRON nightly news, or Jay Leno! We’ve been fighting hard to preserve the traditions of B2B and have had some huge successes.

Float

If you have not yet seen the magic that is MTV’s Jersey Shore it’s now time that you fixed that “Situation”. This show may be the most astonishing piece of “reality TV” ever filmed. 

This year the float will be a rolling representation of the set of the Jersey Shore show. We have set out to recreate a day in the life of those spectacular human beings cast to run amuck in Seaside Heights New Jersey. We have lots of surprises on the float this year and don’t want to give them all away, but let’s just say there is going to be a hot tub and a film crew. Surprise guests are in the works…

Attire

On May 16^th we plan on assembling the largest group of Guidos and Guidettes west of the Mississippi. If this goes as planned, the amount of rhinestones being worn by our group should be visible from the international space station. We need guys looking “juiced” and in your best ironed Ed Hardy/Affliction/etc t-shirts, or anything with a glittering skull or fleur-de-lis! Blowouts will be in full effect, and you better make sure your abs are looking ripped. Ladies, you’ll need to be looking your best to catch the eye of a hot Guido. Don’t even think of showing up without an obnoxiously dark (real or fake) tan. Take it from Snookie or J-WOWW, less is more! Be creative, this year’s costumes will be better than ever!

Entertainment

Let’s just say everyone should come prepared to “beat the beat up”! Just like the last 3 years, house music will be pumping (DJ Pauly G). Get ready for a night out at the Jersey Shore’s top club KARMA! Fist pumping, grinding, and pitting out will be mandatory. And remember, YOU ARE THE ENTERTAINMENT! Get ready for the "darkest tan competition" and the Snookie punching bag.

Cost

We've worked hard this year with ING/AEG to come to an agreement on a “hands off policy on canned beer”. This is a huge win for us and we will plan accordingly with plenty of cans for everyone in our group. "Floats cannot be made to transport beer" but your hands can. Our pricing structure has been lowered this year to offset some of the $15 being charged for ING/AEG registration.

Early bird - $35 TOTAL ENDED

Not so early bird - $40 TOTAL (April 17^th – May 15^th)

Day before and day of B2B - $45 TOTAL (if we’re not sold out)

As part of this deal we have been asked to get all of our guests properly registered. ING has set up a special $15 price for non-runners, and this will be built into our total cost so that each of you can enter the starting area with the float.

*Additionally this year a portion of our proceeds will be going to the SFPD. We want to support them for helping to keep Bay to Breakers safe and enjoyable for all.
